Mir Group of Companies are the offshoots of Mir Akhter Hossain Ltd., the Parent Company which was originally established in the year 1968 as a Partnership firm by Mir Akeb Hossain. With the extension of its activities, nation-wide, the firm was converted into a Private Limited Company in 1980. The Company achieved rapid and steady growth under the youthful exuberance and dynamic leadership of its Managing Director & Directors with able assistance and concerted efforts of its engineers, technicians and employees. The Company is now in the forefront of Construction Industry in Bangladesh. Since its inception as a Partnership Firm till to date the Company successfully executed diverse projects like construction of international standard Highways and Bridges, Factory Buildings of Sugar and Textile Mills, as well as Pharmaceutical Complexes, Functional buildings, 5-Star International standard Hotel buildings, Auditoriums, Academies and Warehouses, Food and Fertilizer warehouses, Railway Tracks, Overhead Tanks, Power Stations, Discharge Channels and so forth. To ensure satisfaction of its clients the company has recruited experienced and dedicated civil, electrical and mechanical engineers, management personnel and skilled technicians. Mir Akhter Hossain Ltd. also possesses adequate number of machinery, plant, equipment and vehicles for undertaking precision engineering projects of considerable magnitude.
The Company executed several Roads, Highways & Bridges of international standard both individually and also by forming Joint Venture with internationally reputed construction companies like F.F. Cruz & Co. Inc. of Philippines, Samwhan Corporation of Korea as well as China Harbour Engineering Company and H.H. Consortium of China. The Company successfully executed prestigious projects like 5-Star Hotel Sheraton, 5-Star Hotel Radisson at Dhaka, 18-storied Islami Bank Tower of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. at Dilkusha, Dhaka, Pharmaceutical Complex of Rhone Poulenc Rorer Bangladesh Ltd. at Tongi, Gazipur; concrete, re-bar and form work of US Embassy Chancery Building, New Elementary School/Library and physical facilities building of American International School at Baridhara, Dhaka, British High Commissioner’s New Residence and British High Commission’s Amenities Centre at Baridhara, Dhaka & several other projects of national importance etc. and are now executing Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) at Bashundhara, Dhaka, 500 bed Hospital at Khilgaon, Dhaka, 3rd Buriganga Bridge at Basila, Dhaka and other prestigious projects.
